What About Bleeding?

All oral blood thinners raise your risk of bleeding. The longer you take them, the more that risk can grow.

There are two types of bleeding:
Major bleeding (serious):
May need urgent medical care, may involve bleeding in the stomach or brain.
Minor bleeding:
Such as nosebleeds, gum bleeding, or easy bruising.

Your risk depends on your health, your other medications, and your lifestyle (like how active you are or if you drink alcohol).

Make sure to talk to your doctor about how these risks apply to you.
